Upcoming Sessions

The energy-from-waste Site Liaison Committee will be acting as host to a public information centre on the Site-Specific Human Health and Ecological Risk Assessment Report and Air Quality Assessment Technical Study Report at the Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex located at 2440 King Street West, Bowmanville on Tuesday, May 19, 2009. A drop-in style information session will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., with a presentation and moderated question-and-answer period to follow, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Members of the public are also welcome to attend the Site Liaison Committee and Joint Waste Management Group meetings. Please refer to the schedules below for meeting dates. Public comments will be welcome.

Joint Waste Management Group Meetings - Revised Schedule

The Joint Waste Management Group (JWMG) meetings that were tentatively scheduled for the remainder of 2009 have been cancelled. The Durham/York Residual Waste Study was submitted to the Ministry of the Environment (MOE) on July 31,2009 and is currently undergoing a public and government review which is not scheduled to end prior to the last meeting. The 2010 proposed JWMG meeting schedule will be presented for consideration at a later date and will be posted here.
